Fri, March 18, 2005 - 2:12 AMIt is difficult to get a visa to work from outside the EU. employers within the EU are obligated to fill their positions with their own citizens , then EU citizens. so, there is a priority. they must justify why they would give an non-eu person a job over a eu. i cannot speak from experience because i have an EU spouse and the work visa goes along with that. So, here are a few websites where you can begin your quest for more information. many people suggest finding a US company that has offices overseas and then being placed in the EU. good luck.

Fri, April 8, 2005 - 12:10 AMWhat if someone were to want to open a business in the EU? Like a photo studio? I know that here in Taiwan the visa situation is irreconcilable (errr, foreigners aren't allowed to own businesses anyway, my wife owns ours)... -

however, i did not find the point about having a "A financial report, prepared by a qualified accountant or tax advisor" to be accurate, nor have i encountered anyone else who was required to have this.
