So I managed to do it -- I am living in Italy, working legally, and absolutely loving being in Europe! I don't imagine that I will ever want to go back, other than for short visits.

What are some good options for staying here? Marrying a local? Getting a local company to hire me? How do I do that?

There is a good chance I can get citizenship with the UK through my dad, as he was born there and is a dual citizen. However, my current job disallows dual-citizenthip. I'd need to transition into a different job where I was hired as an American, work on the citizenship, then get hired as a local, I guess. Anyone know good resources for transitioning folks?
